On April 30, veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away after fighting a two-year-long battle with leukemia. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He underwent treatment in New York and returned to Mumbai after battling with cancer for almost a year. The news of his sad demise shocked the entire nation.

Along with his fans, several Bollywood stars too penned a heartfelt note and took to their social media to offer condolences to his family. Rishi’s last rites were attended by Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Navya Naveli, Karisma Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and other family members.

Now, an old video of Rishi has resurfaced on the internet where he can be seen watching the first teaser of Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju‘. In the film, his son Ranbir Kapoor played the role of Sanjay Dutt. Rishi got teary-eyed and surprised after watching the teaser of ‘Sanju’ for the first time. He is all praise for his talented son as he says, “Oh my god, the boy has really done well. I am so proud of him. I did not know Ranbir is coming, I thought Sanjay Dutt is coming.” Further, he adds, “Ranbir if you are listening, you don’t know how emotionally triggered I am when Raju and Vinod are showing me this trailer of yours. The first appearance of yours from the jail, I thought it was Sanjay Dutt,” adding, “I should not be praising my own son so much.”

On the work front, Ranbir will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra‘ along with girlfriend Alia, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy.
