Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been highly praised on social media for helping the migrant workers who are stranded in the city due to coronavirus pandemic. He has been arranging bus and flight services for the migrants to help them reach their hometowns and reunite with their families.

Yesterday, Sonu met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at the latter’s residence Matoshree. Thackeray’s son and State Minister Aaditya Thackeray was also present.

This meeting came hours after Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that there is a political director behind the work being done by Sonu. Aaditya took to his Twitter account and shared details about the meeting. He wrote, “This evening @SonuSood met up with @CMOMaharashtra Uddhav Thackeray ji along with Minister @AslamShaikh_MLA ji and me. Better Together, Stronger Together to assist as many people through as many people. Good to have met a good soul to work for the people together.”

He further also tweeted, “The CM @OfficeofUT was glad to meet @SonuSood and discussed the work everyone is doing for the people during covid relief. Misunderstandings don’t exist but what does is a commitment to help people.”

Replying to him, Sonu wrote, “Was a pleasure. Thank you for all the support offered to help my migrant brothers reunite with their families.”

In another tweet, Sonu added, “Humanity is above all.”

Sonu on Saturday said he will continue sending back migrants until the last one reaches his own home. On being asked is there any misunderstanding between him and Shiv Sena Party, the actor said, “There is no misunderstanding, everything is fine. Everyone is supporting us. Everyone wants to do good for the country and we are there for them.”
