The incident of a pregnant elephant in Kerala died after it ate a pineapple that had crackers stuffed inside shook everyone in our nation. B-town celebrities have taken to their social media to condemn such animal cruelty. Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda, Shraddha Kapoor and many others demanded strict action against those who were responsible. Recently, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle to react to this horrific incident.

He tweeted, ”Maybe animals are less wild and humans less human. What happened with that #elephant is heartbreaking, inhumane and unacceptable! Strict action should be taken against the culprits. #AllLivesMatter”.

As per the reports, the pregnant elephant was fed a pineapple filled with crackers that exploded in her mouth. This caused her jaw to break and rendering her unable to eat.

The news broke when A forest official Mohan Krishnan, penned an emotional note on his Facebook page. He narrating the events that lead to the death of the elephant. “When we saw her she was standing in the river, with her head dipped in the water. She had a sixth sense that she was going to die. She took the Jalasamadhi in the river in a standing position”, he wrote.
