Director Anurag Kashyap talks about working with Abhay Deol for ‘Dev D’ | Hindi Movie News

Bollywood actor Abhay Deol started his acting career in 2005 with Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Socha Na Tha’. He is away from the big-screen for a while now. In an interview with a popular publication he said that he was too confident about the success behind him. He tricked himself into thinking that the people would put their money on him and experiment. He further stated that he could have secured himself in a more significant manner but he did not and don’t have any regrets.

But director Anurag Kashyap who has worked with Abhay in ‘Dev D‘ said it was painfully challenging to work with Deol. The director doesn’t have any great memories working with him. They both have not talked much after completing the shooting.

Anurag also said that Abhay wanted to do creative movies but he also desired mainstream profits. He would stay in a five-star hotel, on the other hand, the whole crew waited in Paharganj that made a very tight budget.

Due to this a lot of his directors went away from him. He wasn’t there to promote Dev D. He further added that it was because of something he was grappling with emotionally and personally and he never talked about. He also felt betrayed by him about which he has never spoken to him.
